How Much Does a Web Site Cost?

We want our business to be as transparent to our clients as possible. We know that there are people out there who will promise you the world for £199. We also know how long it takes to do these things and the level of support that most clients will need.

We don't want to sell you just a web site. We're in the business of creating something for clients that will give them a return on their investment. In order for your web site to stand the best possible chance of working for you, you need to think in terms of an initial investment of £2000 to £3500.

And here's why...

The first thing to note is that as a new client for us, you'll get:

  • Hosting for the first year with virus filtering
  • A domain name for 2 years
  • The bespoke design of your site
  • The build of your site in a way that is:
    • Search engine friendly
    • DDA compliant as it applies to web sites
    • W3C compliant
    • Scaleable
    • A content management system so that you can control your web site
    • Best practice at every level
  • Initial support to put in all the good search engine bits
  • Ongoing support for your content management system if you need it
  • Google analytics, a Google site map, submission to Google

We want your site to succeed and we'll help in any way that we reasonably can.

When you want to start adding other modules like news, newsletter, the blog module, maybe even e-commerce, then you need to start increasing your budget accordingly.

A good entry level e-commerce site, for example, will be in the order of £3500 for a very basic level of functionality. £3500 to £6000 is a much more flexible budget for an e-commerce site but this is still at a very basic level.
