I Can't Get My E-mail

If you're having problems accessing your e-mail from our servers then there are a few things that you can check that might help:

  1. Are you collecting your e-mail from Redcat, or do you have your own mail server in the office?
    • If you have your own mailserver (Microsoft Exchange, Small Business Server, etc), then you need to get your IT support company to check to see if it is picking up mail for you
    • If you collect your e-mail directly from our server then you need to continue down this list
  2. What error is coming up? Is it saying that it can't connect to the server, or is it saying that your username or password is incorrect?
    • If it's complaining about your user name and password then you can go through this process to make sure that your settings are correct
    • If it can't connect to the server then continue down the list
  3. When the box comes up telling you that there has been an error, pay close attention to the message that is displayed. Copy and paste this into a document and save it to your desk top - it might be useful when you talk to us
  4. Can you connect to the internet generally?
    • If you're on this site and you're still at the machine that you're having e-mail problems on then the answer to this will be yes and you need to contact us.
    • If you've printed out this page previously, or you're using another PC to connect then go to the PC your having problems with and try going to another web site - www.redcatmedia.co.uk, your own web site and www.bbc.co.uk will test it sufficiently
  5. If you can't connect to any web site at all then you need to call your IT support company
  6. If you can connect to www.bbc.co.uk but not to your own site then get in contact with us and we'll look into it for you
