Hi Andy,

I wanted to let you have some feedback on the difference the new website has had after the first month of use.

You already know how pleased the staff and I are with the clean, fresh and simple look of the new website (exactly as per the brief) and that with some changes to a couple of the pages, we will have achieved exactly what we are aiming at. As you have said, a website is always a work in progress!

Importantly though, straight away I noticed we were receiving many more e-mails from the 'contact us' page, previously we received our e-mails via AOL. It now seems clear that many contacts from customers were being blocked as 'spam' and I hate to think how many customers must have been offended by the lack of a reply, when we had never been aware that they had e-mailed us.

Without having kept any complete records, I know that we have booked in over 5 custom-fit appointments for golf clubs (all of which led to orders) and booked over 10 customers in for golf lessons directly from e-mails from the contact page on the new site.

I know from the initial stats you are building up that we are receiving more 'hits', and you are now able to show us that there is more movement to different pages within the site. This is all new and useful information.

I appreciate your help and advice in developing the site further based on the information collected from users of the site, and in time adding an 'on-line shop' which will improve our service levels to our local customer base.

I know it is said that a web design company can be based anywhere in the world, but it makes a big difference to me that you are locally based. Being able to call in, 'meet the team' and talk face to face, helps someone (like me!) who isn't fluent in 'computer-speak' to explain more clearly what they are trying to achieve.
