This is why we're the best...

We redesigned a site for a local golf club recently using all the best practice principles that we possibly could. We can tell from the stats that the site is working well and the client knows from the enquiries that the site is generating that it's working for them. However, when a specialist search engine optimisation company holds their hands up and says that they can't help, we know we're right.

This e-mail was received from our client this morning:

Hi Andy,

Thanks for doing that and the tip, I'll make sure I 'copy' the same info in the 'Page Title' section.

You would be interested in a call I had today.

A chap called me on Friday from a website optimization firm based in Manchester offering to optimize our site for search engines. I told him I wasn't in a position to do anything now, because I had just updated the website with you.

I suggested if he sent me some info I would read it thru. He said he'd ring me Monday to see what I thought.

He rang back today to say he didn't think they could do anything for me because the results he had on our optimization were the best he'd ever seen! On a par with the BBC apparently! I think he said we were no1 on 23,000 searches on their test for searches based on golf in Portsmouth, lessons,custom fit etc.

Hopefully we are getting somewhere!!
